
It works great - but now I have the added power I was wondering if anyone has experience of casting Plex 4K hdr content with chromecast ultra or Google tv. Plex doesn’t really integrate with the Google TV Live Tab, but is worth mentioning. device does everything the original Chromecast could, but with Google TV OS on top. I wish there was an entire Smart TV system around the Plex app. I may end up switching to Roku simply bc of Plex.

I will continue to use it on my new Chromecast w/ Google TV and keep the subreddit updated for sure. Chromecast is a line of digital media players. From what it looks like, Plex updates the app for Roku and Apple TV the most.

Download the server application from Plex's website, install it, then follow the setup process to add media to your library. You can stream dozens of live TV channels for free through Plex. Plex is available on the Google Play Store, so installing it on the Chromecast with Google TV is a breeze.
